Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a treatment where very fine needles are inserted into certain points around the body for a range of therapeutic purposes. Acupuncture compliments Physiotherapy/Manual therapy clinically by reducing pain and swelling, therefore the patient can progress quickly through their rehabilitation (especially in the early stages).

When acupuncture needles are inserted, the nerves under the skin produce endorphins and oxytocin. These are known as ‘happy hormones’. These hormones benefit the overall well-being of the patient.
